At Searchlight we have rooms within all of our houses in which we can take respite clients. These clients can be adults from 18 upwards of any age and ability, from those clients who are semi-independent to those who may need full support. Our staff are well trained and are able to assist on all care needs.
At Searchlight a holistic view of care is of high importance to us. Through discussion with client and carers, from initial assessment right through to attending Searchlight, we devise a care plan for the whole time the client is with us to achieve the best possible results for a comfortable stay.
Each room is provided with an electric bed and bedroom furniture plus a TV if wanted. Each room has its own sink and mirror.
Respite clients are fully involved in all house activities and integrate fully into the home. With an on site chef any special diet can be catered for and meals are eaten in the communal dinning room.
We can also offer for, the time of the visit, access to our on-site day centre with well-trained staff organising activities during the day, Monday to Friday, as well as offering trips in our own transport.
