Searchlight makes a world of difference to many people’s lives but the funding we receive from local authorities to pay for individual placements is not enough on its own. We therefore rely on people like you to help us in any way you can to raise funds, for which we are immensely grateful.
Here are some suggestions of how you can help:
Nominate Searchlight as your charity in an organised fundraising event such as a sponsored walk, ride, raft race or run.
Hold a garage or car boot sale, telling people that the proceeds are going to Searchlight.
We all need to make a will to ensure that whatever property and possessions we have at the time of our death pass as easily as possible to those we love.
It is also a time when people remember a charity such as Searchlight in their will through a legacy. A legacy is a wonderful and generous way for your estate to live on through the continuing work of that charity. It obviously costs you nothing today; it merely ensures an investment in someone elses lifetime at the end of your own.
To leave a legacy gift to Searchlight either add it directly to your will, preferably with the help of your solicitor, or contact us for advice.
